Alumec 89 is a high strength aluminium alloy designed for tooling applications, offering excellent machinability, low weight, high thermal conductivity, and good corrosion resistance. It is ideal for prototype, short run moulds, and precision engineering components where performance and stability matter.

Key Features

This aluminium alloy reduces machining time due to its excellent machinability, while its lighter weight compared to steel allows easier tool handling. High thermal conductivity helps shorten cycle times, and the alloy maintains good dimensional stability and corrosion resistance, making it well suited for a variety of tooling applications.

Typical Applications
  • Blow moulds, vacuum forming, foam moulding, RIM moulding
  • njection moulds for thermoplastics, rubber moulds, mould holders and support plates
  • Engineering components requiring good thermal transfer, machinability and moderate strength
Forms of Supply

Alumec 89 is supplied as hot rolled, heat treated plates in standard thicknesses from 30 mm up to 250 mm, or cut to size for immediate machining. As leading aluminium manufacturers in UAE, we provide this high performance aluminium alloy across the Middle East, offering consistent quality and reliability for tooling and prototype production.
