17-4PH Stainless Steel (AN)

Where Strength Meets Sophistication — Stainless Steel that Redefines Durability, Precision, and Lasting Elegance for Every Application.

17-4PH Stainless Steel (AN)

17‑4 PH in the AN (annealed) condition is a martensitic precipitation‑hardening stainless steel offering a blend of high strength and good corrosion resistance. Its annealed state enables machining or forming before final hardening.

Key Features:

This alloy combined with its annealed condition provides exceptional machinability and fabrication flexibility while still retaining the option for subsequent precipitation hardening. It supports moderate corrosion resistance comparable to standard austenitic grades and delivers reliable mechanical performance.

Typical Applications:
  • Components requiring machining and forming before hardening (e.g., shafts, bushings, die‑holders)
  • Aerospace fasteners and structural parts that will be final‑aged later
  • Marine, oil & gas, chemical industry parts needing stainless performance with adaptability
  • General engineering parts where a combination of strength, corrosion resistance and post‑machining capability is needed
Forms of Supply

Supplied in the annealed “AN” condition (soft, fully solution‑treated) as round bars, plates, sheets, blocks and forgings. Cut‑to‑size, machined blanks and extrusions are available; delivery throughout the UAE & Gulf region.
