UNS S32760 Super Duplex Stainless Steel is an ultra‑high performance grade designed for extremely aggressive environments. It combines exceptional corrosion resistance in chloride, sulphide and acid media with very high strength, making it ideal for critical oil & gas, marine, chemical and structural applications.

Key Features

This grade features elevated chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen content (and tungsten/copper additions) which give it a PREN (Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number) > 40, outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice and stress‑corrosion cracking, and a duplex microstructure delivering high yield strength and excellent toughness.

  • Carbon (C): ≤ 0.030% – limits carbide precipitation and preserves corrosion resistance.
  • Silicon (Si): ≤ 0.80% – assists de‑oxidation and structural stability.
  • Manganese (Mn): ≤ 1.20% – supports toughness and strength.
  • Phosphorus (P): ≤ 0.035% – helps maintain cleanliness and ductility.
  • Sulfur (S): ≤ 0.020% – ensures weldability and high corrosion resistance.
  • Chromium (Cr): 24.0‑26.0% – provides superior corrosion resistance and high strength.
  • Nickel (Ni): 6.0‑8.0% – enhances toughness and stabilises the duplex microstructure.
  • Molybdenum (Mo): 3.0‑4.0% – significantly boosts resistance to pitting, crevice and stress‑corrosion.
  • Nitrogen (N): 0.20‑0.32% – improves both strength and corrosion resistance.
  • Iron (Fe): Balance – the main matrix element.
Certifications
  • Supplied with standard Mill Test Certificate (MTC) covering chemical composition and mechanical test data.
  • EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2 inspection certificates or equivalent third‑party verification available on request.
  • Conforms to international specifications such as ASTM A182/A815, ASME, NORSOK for super duplex material service in aggressive environments.
