S32550 Super Duplex Stainless Steel (UNS S32550) is a premium super duplex alloy designed for ultra aggressive environments. This S32550 material combines very high strength with exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice, and stress corrosion cracking in chloride and sulphide rich conditions.

  • Silicon (Si): ≤ 0.80% – assists de‑oxidation and structural stability.
  • Manganese (Mn): ≤ 1.20% – supports toughness.
  • Phosphorus (P): ≤ 0.035% – improves cleanliness and ductility.
  • Sulfur (S): ≤ 0.020% – maintains high corrosion resistance and weldability.
  • Chromium (Cr): 24.0‑26.0% – provides superior corrosion resistance and strength.
  • Nickel (Ni): 6.0‑8.0% – enhances toughness and balanced microstructure.
  • Molybdenum (Mo): 3.0‑5.0% – significantly enhances pitting and crevice corrosion resistance.
  • Nitrogen (N): 0.24‑0.32% – boosts strength and corrosion performance.
  • Iron (Fe): Balance – main matrix element.
Certifications
  • Material is supplied with standard Mill Test Certificates (MTC) covering chemical composition and mechanical properties.
  • EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2 inspection certificates or equivalent third‑party verification available upon request.
  • Conformity to international standards such as ASTM A240 / ASME SA240 for plates/ sheets or ASTM A182 / SA‑182 for bar/ forgings; subject to product form and customer requirement.
